At Vermont DRCs, community members have access to multiple resources including SBA to help them begin the application process if they incurred damages from flooding that occurred on July 9 – 11, 2024.  I have attached the fact sheet and a social media graphic that we would like for you to share in order to ensure residents understand where and how to receive assistance.

Facts about SBAs disaster assistance program – SBA is the largest source of federal funding in disasters:

Business, homeowners and renters can apply for disaster assistance
No interest no payment for one full year
Up to 30 years to repay
Funds can be used to repair and replace real estate and personal property (including automobiles)
Funds can be used for reimbursements, relocation, refinance, etc.
Approved applicants can request increase to help with mitigation (build back better and stronger to prepare for future disasters)
