Recreation
The Richmond, Huntington, Bolton Tri-town Recreation Committee oversees recreational offferings on this page. We strive to provide information to community members about boundless opportunities to spend their leisure time, through programs and activities that enhance community cooperation and resilience, and encourage active mind, body and spirit.
Join the Greater Richmond Recreation Committee
The Richmond Recreation Committee seeks new members to provide the communities of Richmond, Huntington, and Bolton with diverse recreational activities for all ages. The current committee has created a community recreation website that lists recreation activities in the three communities, have purchased snowshoes available on loan at the Richmond Free Library, held a green up cleanup day at Volunteers Green, wrote grants, purchased lawn games available at town events, and collaborated with committees that have recreation priorities (Trails, 3 Parks, and ARPA committee).
If you would like to know more about the committee’s work check out the agenda and minutes and current work plan on the Richmond website. The committee has a minimum of five members, one Huntington, one Bolton, and three Richmond representatives. Bolton and Huntington selectboards recommend a resident who wishes to volunteer to the Richmond selectboard. The Richmond selectboard approves all members. Please contact Duncan Wardwell for an application or questions at dwardwell@ . richmondvt.gov
Hope you can help keep the momentum going, as there are new recreational opportunities coming up in the future!
