US-2 Rehabilitation Project
Richmond - Bolton US Route 2 Rehabilitation
DATE: May 2, 2024
TRAFFIC IMPACT: Traffic Control with one-lane of alternating travel on US Route 2 between Kenyon Road and Lemroy Court between 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. Flaggers will be present within various other project work locations. Please follow the posted speed limits.
PROJECT UPDATE: Completed the installation of new guardrails along US Route 2 between the Exit 11 interchange and VT Route 117; Continued work on the new traffic signal at the US Route 2 and Bridge Street/Jericho Road intersection; Began installation of new traffic signs.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Sunday, May 5, 2024
Sunday through Thursday - 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (nighttime work):
-Begin milling sideroad abutments within Richmond Village and various locations on U.S. Route 2 between River View Cemetery and Willis Farm Road.
-Begin milling on U.S. Route 2 between Kenyon Road and I-89 Exit 11 southbound On-Ramp.
-Beginning Monday night - structure adjusment on Baker, Millet and Bridge Streets along with Jericho Road.
-Sidewalk and curb installation within the U.S. Route 2 and Bridge Street/Jericho Road intersection.
-Tentative paving late in the week to install a leveling course between Kenyon Road and I-89 Exit 11 southbound On-Ramp.
Monday through Friday - Daytime:
-Continue installation of new traffic signs with little to no traffic interruptions.
