VOLUNTEERS GREEN IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Please be aware that the severe flooding in the Volunteers Green Park has left a lot of sediment, mud, and debris from the river that may be contaminated.
Please do not use the Bandstand Green, Playground, Fields, Bathrooms, or Paths until further notice. Children & pets should not play in the park until further notice.
The Town has posted an RFP for Volunteers Green cleanup (https://www.richmondvt.gov/fileadmin/files/General/2024/07/Richmond_Town-_Volunteers_Green_Repairs_RFP_.pdf)
The Town estimates reopening Volunteers Green in mid-August but it depends on the contractor’s cleanup proposal.
