Hazard Mitigation Funding Programs are available through the State for elevation of homes and buyout of homes in the floodplain. The pre-application deadline is August 30, 2024. All applications must run through the Town. If you are interested in one of these programs please email Town Manger Josh Arneson with your address and which program you are interested in: jarneson@richmondvt.gov , and he will submit the pre-application form for interested properties.

The State of Vermont recently announced that they will be covering the 25% match for qualified home elevation projects. This is the portion that the homeowner would have had to pay for an elevation project.
